Changes to East West line Operating time from 3-25 Apr 2020

SMRT will extend engineering hours with early closures of selected MRT stations from April to June 2020 to facilitate maintenance and renewal works along the North-South and East-West Lines. 

 From 3 to 25 Apr 2020, four stations from Bedok to Paya Lebar on the EWL will close earlier at about 11pm on selected Fridays and Saturdays. 

Shuttle Bus Service 7 will be available to maintain connectivity for commuters travelling between Aljunied and Tanah Merah stations.

From 15 May to 27 Jun 2020, three stations from Jurong East to Bukit Gombak on the NSL, and five stations from Dover to Lakeside on the EWL will close earlier at about 11pm on selected Fridays and Saturdays. 

 Shuttle Bus Service 4 will be available to maintain connectivity for commuters travelling between Jurong East and Choa Chu Kang stations. Shuttle Bus Service 2 will be available to maintain connectivity for commuters travelling between Buona Vista and Boon Lay stations. 

The timing of the last trains departing from each station during the planned early closures will vary. Commuters are advised to check the departure times at the affected MRT stations, or on SMRT Trains’ website and social media platforms, to better plan their journeys ahead of time. More time may be needed to travel between the affected MRT stations using the shuttle bus services.
